TARAHAN PARSEH Transportation Research Center

Is the first nongovernmental Transportation research center in Iran, working in Various Transportation fields such as Aviation, Marine, Rail and Road Transportation.

Tarahan Parseh Transportation Research Center(TRC) has started its activity in transportation-related fields since August 2008 in collaboration with academics including university professors, PhD and MSc Students, graduate and post-graduate Engineers wih specialties in Highway and Transportation Engineering and Transportation Planning .The center is also benefited from the experience of other expertise in the fields such as Structure Engineering , Geotechnics, Urban Planning , Electronics and Telecommunications. Therefore, the center is able to provide research and design consultancy services in all transportation-related issues and projects.

Main goals of this Research Center are:

· Improving safety and reliability of transportation networks

· Encouraging research studies in transportation related decision makings.

· Enhancing orientation of transportation professionals in different transportation fields.

Based on its priorities, Tarahan Parseh TRC has mainly focused its research and study activities on:

·         Strategic aviation studies

·         Air transportation planning studies

·         Improvement of safety in transportation

·         Reducing rural and urban accident rate

·         Urban intersections

·         Interchanges

·         Urban traffic and transportation comprehensive designs

·         Traffic calming issues and equipments

·         Pedestrians

·         Public transportation

·         Strategic planning of national and regional freight

·         Transportation modeling and simulation

In addition, Tarahan parseh TRC offers training courses in the above subjects and other transportation-education areas. However, The Center welcomes other relevant research activities and ideas falling in its scope of performance.
